ARY DIGITAL NETWORK’s - Ahsaas ZIndagi ka raises USD 1.82 million for Pakistani Flood victims.

"Ahsaas Zindagi Ka" telethon and campaign, organised by Dubai based ARY DIGITAL NETWORK, on Tuesday raised an estimated amount of money that totalled more than US$ 1.82 million, to date. “Its truly humbling to see how the people of our country anywhere they maybe stand up for Pakistan when Pakistan needs them the most. Once again they stood with us and answered our call in a manner that has never been done before, and showed the world just how much they care,” said Salman Iqbal, President and CEO of ARY DIGITAL NETWORK. “We opened our phone lines and our viewers opened their hearts.””

The five-hour telethon, which aired Tuesday, drew viewership and pledges from around the globe including the United States, Pakistan, United Kingdom, UAE and Saudi Arabia. The show was hosted by Dr. Amir Liaqat Hussain, Dr. Shahid Masood, Dr Shaista Wahidi, and Kashif Abbasi, along with a host of Pakistani celebrities from all walks of life. It is estimated that the tragedy has claimed the lives of more than 1,700 people and has more than 20 million Pakistanis suffering and rendered homeless. UN secretary General Ban Ki Moon has termed this as the “worse disaster he has ever seen.”

“We running parallel operations which 1, are getting resources required for the devastation and people affected and 2, makings sure ALL these resources get to the people that NEED them. We have over 3,000 people working 24/7 to ensure essential food items, clean drinking, medicine and other necessary goods are getting packed and out in the right and timely manner.
